Levittown Ladder 626 Wetdown [6-26-21]
On the afternoon of Saturday, June 26th, 2021, Levittown Ladder Company 6 held a dedication and wet down ceremony for the new Ladder 626. The Pierce tiller was put into service in February of 2020 and has been on several runs both in and out of town since then; however, due to the pandemic the Company had to delay having a proper ceremony. The rig is dedicated to Levittown Ladder 6 Ex-Captain Scott “Brutus” Johnston who was an integral part of the new truck committee but succumbed to 9/11 related cancer before the rig’s completion. Many of Johnston’s family members were on hand for the event including his wife, Kristin. The other Companies of the Levittown Fire Department as well as neighboring departments were present as well.
