East Penn Street [10-15-17]

In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 15th, 2017 the Long Beach Fire Department operated on the scene of a working fire at 311 East Penn Street off Monroe Boulevard. Firefighters battled heavy fire at the rear of a two-story private dwelling upon arrival. At least two hand lines were stretched and put into operation. Among the departments mutual aided were Point Lookout-Lido, Baldwin, Oceanside, and Island Park. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Long Beach Chief of Department Joseph Miller [231].
