West Broadway [12-6-19]

The Long Beach Fire Department was called to a house fire on West Broadway off Grand Boulevard on the night of Friday, December 6th, 2019. Upon arrival firefighters were met with heavy fire at the rear of a two-story row house leading to the transmission of a signal ten [working fire]. Firefighters put at least three hand lines into operation to battle the fire which was present on the first and second floors of the residence. The fire was quickly knocked down and all searches proved negative. Among the departments called for mutual aid was Island Park, Lawrence-Cedarhurst, Oceanside, Point Lookout-Lido, and Atlantic Beach Rescue among others. The cause of the fire is under investigation and one person was arrested in connection to the fire.
