West Park Avenue [12-5-22]

On the night of Monday, December 5th, 2022, the Long Beach Fire Department was called to an automatic fire alarm at LB Social on West Park Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene and gained access into the establishment, they were met with a smoke condition in the original dispatched location as well as in the adjacent Verizon store. Further investigation led to a fire being found on the second floor of the two-story commercial building. A working fire was transmitted, and mutual aid requested. Firefighters put at least one hand line into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. Various resources from the Nassau County Fire Marshals Office responded to the scene due to the involvement of a lithium-ion battery. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation. Long Beach Chief of Department Kemins [231] had command of the incident.
