Sunrise Highway [2-9-12]

At 19:00 hours on February 9th, 2012 the Lynbrook Fire Department held a department drill at the former Tofu Restaurant located at 427 Sunrise Highway. Prior to making entry into the building, smoke machines were placed throughout the structure. At some point, a small fire was lit as well and exposed itself through the roof of the building. Engine 421 picked up a hydrant on Roosevelt Street while Ladders 427 and 428 each took a side of the building and raised their aerial devices. Other engine companies, the Floodlight Unit, and Command Post Unit set up in the parking lot behind the former Chinese Japanese Restaurant. Third Assistant Chief Anderson was on scene to oversee drill operations.
