Ex-Chief Weinstein 60th Anniversary Ceremony [6-20-22]

The Malverne Fire Department held a ceremony on the night of Monday, June 20th, 2022, to celebrate Ex-Chief David Weinstein – the first member of the Malverne Fire Department to achieve 60 years of active service in the Department’s 112-year history. Malverne Chief of Department Ernest Bohringer was the first to speak and read off the organizations and accomplishments of Chief Weinstein over the past six decades while including a couple of stories. Malverne Mayor Keith Corbett offered his congratulations and thanked Dave for his service to the community which includes the role of Malverne Village Historian. Representatives from various firematic organizations and associations then came up to speak and made presentations to Ex-Chief Weinstein. Lastly, the honoree himself spoke and went on to say what the sixty years meant to him while thanking those who helped make it possible.
