Monday, June 23rd, 2014: the Malverne Fire Department was dispatched to a car versus pole with possible entrapment at the intersection of Hempstead Avenue and Francis Street. When first responders arrived on scene they were met with a single vehicle accident with negative entrapment. The driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Malverne firefighters secured the auto and left the scene in the hands of Malverne Police.
