Clent Road [12-30-21]

On the night of Thursday, December 30th, 2021, the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Clent Road in the Great Neck section of their district. Those first to arrive on scene were met with fire showing from the windows of a first-floor apartment at the rear of a three-story occupied multiple dwelling. A working fire was transmitted, and mutual aid notified. Firefighters put at least two hand lines into place and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. Several people were safely evacuated from the building during the operation. Three people were transported from the scene to area hospitals with an additional nine people treated and released at the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
