Manor Drive [7-18-20]

Late on the night of Saturday, July 18th, 2020 the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department was called to a structure fire [reported basement fire] on Manor Drive off Summer Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with smoke showing from a two and a half story private dwelling. Upon further investigation firefighters confirmed fire in the basement of the residence and a signal ten [working fire] was transmitted. At least one hand line was put into operation with the main body of fire was quickly knocked down. During the operation firefighters safely removed several pets [including rabbits and birds] from the home. Among the departments called for mutual aid were the Great Neck Alerts and Port Washington.
