Orchard Street [1-27-22]

On the night of Thursday, January 27th, 2022, the Massapequa Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Orchard Street off Forest Avenue. Those first to arrive on scene were met with a well involved, detached garage with extension to at least one shed and flames impinging upon a trio of private dwellings. Firefighters went on to put at least two hand lines into operation and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. North Massapequa, Seaford, and Wantagh were among the departments called for mutual aid. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
