Renee Place [11-28-19]

On Thanksgiving night [November 28th, 2019] the Massapequa Fire Department was called to a house fire on Renee Place off Block Boulevard for a report of smoke on the second floor. When firefighters arrived on scene and made their way into the home to investigate, they found a fire in the wall on the second floor. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid notified. Amityville was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 1-1-5. Firefighters stretched two hand lines with one line put into operation resulting in a quick knockdown of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
