Shinnecock Avenue [9-25-19]

Late on the night of Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 the Massapequa Fire Department was called to a house fire on Shinnecock Avenue between Suffolk Road and Seaview Street. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with heavy fire at the rear of a one-story private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid notified. Among the departments called for mutual aid were South Farmingdale and Amityville. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire and isolated several propane tanks found in the rear of home. All occupants made it out safely and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
