Sunrise and Central [11-29-20]

On the evening of Sunday, November 29th, 2020 the Merrick Fire Department was called to a car versus building at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Central Avenue. When fire and EMS units arrived on scene they were met with a confirmed pickup truck into a storefront. There were two occupants inside the auto – neither were trapped. The driver was not injured, and the front seat passenger had minor injuries. Firefighters secured the building and vehicle before being released from the scene. All fire department units were under the command of Merrick Chief of Department Paul Scolieri [6400].
