Whaleneck Drive [10-12-18]

The Merrick Fire Department was called to a house fire on Whaleneck Drive off Bayberry Avenue on the morning of Friday, October 18th, 2018. Not long after the first units arrived on scene came the transmission of a signal ten [working fire]. Fire was located on the first and second floors of a two-story private dwelling. North Merrick was designated the FAST and responded with Ladder 673. Baldwin Ladder 206 was redirected to the scene as an additional truck company while units from Roosevelt and North Bellmore stood by. All fire department units were under the command of Merrick Chief of Department Gavigan [6400].
