Jeff Matthews Dedication [8-13-16]

On the morning of Saturday, August 13th, 2016 the New Hyde Park Fire Department held a dedication ceremony in honor of Jeffrey Matthews for the recently placed into service EMS Car designated 1799. Jeff, who died in 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer, was a man of many roles. He was a Nassau County AMT, a medic with the New Hyde Park Fire Department, a father to three children, a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend to many. New Hyde Park Unit 1799 is the department’s busiest vehicle and with Jeff’s name now on the sides of the car it will ensure he is never truly forgotten.
