Jericho Turnpike [2-18-23]

On the night of Saturday, February 18th, 2023 the New Hyde Park Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a building fire at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Cherry Lane. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with a small fire on the roof of 1 Jericho Turnpike – a two story commercial building at the northeast corner of the intersection. One hand line was put into operation off New Hyde Park Engine 172 and the fire was quickly knocked down before it could extend further. No working fire was transmitted or mutual aid requested.
