Columbus Boulevard [12-20-20]

On the night of Sunday, December 20th, 2020 the North Amityville Fire Company operated on the scene of their second working fire in less than twelve hours. This time firefighters arrived to find a fully involved, vacant private dwelling on Columbus Boulevard off Great Neck Road. NAFCO firefighters along with mutual aid units put multiple hand lines into operation and were able to keep the fire from extending to any exposures. Among the departments called for mutual aid was East Farmingdale, North Lindenhurst, Massapequa, and Lindenhurst. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
