Nancy Boulevard [8-4-21]

On the afternoon of Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, the North Merrick Fire Department was called to a house fire on Nancy Boulevard off Merrick Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with an extinguished fire on the second floor of a private dwelling that was inadvertently started by plumbers working. A precautionary hand line was stretched off North Merrick Engine 672 while other firefighters overhauled to ensure all fire was out. Fortunately, the fire was contained to a small area and there was no extension. Merrick Ladder 6412 responded to the scene due to North Merrick Ladder 673 being out of service at the time.
