Nassau Parkway [3-8-19]

On the evening of Friday, March 8th, 2019 Oceanside firefighters operated on the scene of a single vehicle accident involving a car versus garage. The vehicle struck the post located between the two garage doors of a detached garage belonging to a house on Nassau Parkway. The driver, who was briefly trapped by the garage doors falling onto the car, was not seriously injured and was transported to an area hospital. Members of Oceanside Truck Company shored up the garage. Oceanside Terrace Hose Company No. 3 also operated on the scene and all fire department units were under the command of Oceanside Chief of Department Bettes [241].
