Fulton and East Lexington [5-4-20]

On the night of Monday, May 4th, 2020 the Oceanside Fire Department was called to a car into a sinkhole at the intersection of Fulton and East Lexington Avenues. Upon arrival fire department units were met with a confirmed car into a sinkhole as the result of a water main break. The driver and his canine were able to safely exit the vehicle and were not injured. Oceanside fire units were released from the scene within a few minutes after they found no fire department action was needed. The scene was turned over to Nassau County Police and New York American Water.
