One Healthy Way [8-4-20]

On the evening of Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 the Oceanside Fire Department was called to a fire at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital. As fire units were on the way they were advised by hospital staff of a fire in the generator area of the building [located at the intersection of Oceanside Road and Oswald Court]. Upon arrival firefighters were met with a confirmed fire in that area. Fortunately, the main body of fire was held in check with several dry chemical extinguishers. One precautionary hand line was stretched off Oceanside Engine 2482. The fire was quickly knocked down and extensive overhaul performed. All fire department units were under the command of Oceanside Chief of Department Sutton Jr. [241].
