Knickerbocker Road East [2-13-21]

On the afternoon of Saturday, February 13th, 2021 the Plainview Fire Department was called to a house fire on Knickerbocker Road East off Darley Road. Those first to arrive on scene were met with smoke showing from a one-story private dwelling. Upon further investigation fire was found in the basement of the home leading to the transmission of a signal ten [working fire]. Firefighters went on to stretch and operate two hand lines leading to the main body of fire being quickly knocked down. Among the departments called for mutual aid was Bethpage, Syosset, Farmingdale, and Hicksville. All occupants made it safely out of the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
