Orchard Street [5-18-22]

Late on the night of Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, the Plainview Fire Department was called to a house fire on Orchard Street off Old Country Road. Responding fire department units were advised that multiple calls were being received reporting the fire and upon arrival were met with a fire on the second floor of a two-story split level private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid notified. Bethpage was assigned the FAST and responded with Ladder 4. Firefighters stretched two hand lines, put one hand line into operation, and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. There was one civilian injury which was not believed to be serious, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
