Lido Boulevard [7-16-11]
Just before 6 a.m. on July 16th, the Point Lookout-Lido Fire Department was dispatched to a building fire at 300 Lido Boulevard [Surf City Pizza and the Dunes Deli]. Upon arrival, first due units were met with a fire in the rear of the pizzeria and smoke showing from the roof, a signal ten [working fire] was then transmitted. PLL Engine 253 pulled first in, steamered a nearby hydrant, and immediately began stretching lines. Long Beach Ladder 2362 was the first due truck and immediately went to venting the roof and locating the main body of fire. A mutual aid was requested from within the Battalion and brought to the scene: Long Beach Ladder 2362, Long Beach Engine 2344, Island Park Ladder 223, and one Long Beach ambulance. The mutual aid sent Freeport Truck [217-2 and 218], Freeport Engine 213, and an ambulance from Atlantic Beach to standby at Point Lookout-Lido Headquarters.
