Lido Boulevard [7-7-12]

Around 11:00 hours on the morning of July 7th, the driver of a Mitsubishi sedan experienced a medical emergency while driving into Malibu Town Park in Lido Beach. The vehicle lost control and struck the park’s toll booth completely leveling it. The worker inside the booth was injured in the crash and due to the nature of her injuries was transported by Nassau County Police Helicopter to NUMC. The driver of the vehicle was removed and transported by Point Lookout-Lido FD ambulance to the medical center in East Meadow. After fire departments checked the vehicle and secured the aided, units took up. All fire department units were under the command of Chief of Department Guerin [2500]. The scene was left in the hands of Fourth Precinct Officers and Town of Hempstead workers.
