Rockville Centre Engine 445 [6-3-16]

Rockville Centre Defender Hose Company No. 1 is one of three Rockville Centre engine companies that recently took delivery of a new 2016 Spartan Pumper [Reliance and Alert being the other two companies]. The Defender rig, designated 445, is unique in that it features a white over red paint scheme while the other rigs are black over red. The new 445 replaces its predecessor – a 1994 RD Murray. The company is based out of their quarters at 37 South Centre Avenue and the new 445 is expected to be in service by the end of June 2016.
