Rockville Centre Installation [6-10-22]

On the night of Friday, June 10th, 2022, the Rockville Centre Fire Department held its annual inspection and installation dinner. The program was dedicated to the families of the members of the Rockville Centre Fire Department who allow the membership to volunteer. Honorary Chief Bruce Schwarting was the master of ceremonies for the night which began with presentation of the colors by the Rockville Centre Fire Department Color Guard. The Chiefs of the Department were installed into office by Rockville Centre Mayor Francis X. Murray [the line officers of the Department were installed into office on a prior night]. Various awards and presentations were given out – most notably were the members who achieved fifty years of service in 2022 [Mark Etienne, Joseph Lagudi, William Ruckdeschel, Robert Dunwoody, and Francis Murray]. Leading the Rockville Centre Fire Department for the next year will be Chief of Department James Avondet, First Assistant Chief Scott Mohr, and Second Assistant Chief Tony Rugolo.
