Beechwood Avenue [2-9-22]

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, the Roosevelt Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Beechwood Avenue off of Roberts Place. The main body of fire was in the kitchen of a one-story private dwelling. North Merrick was designated the FAST and additional resources were provided by Merrick, Freeport, and Uniondale. Firefighters stretched two hand lines, put one hand line into operation, and had the main body of fire quickly knocked down. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire department units were the command of Roosevelt Second Assistant Chief Dawkins [7302].
