East Pennywood Avenue [10-16-17]

Around 01:35 hours on the morning of Monday, October 16th, 2017 the Roosevelt Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 18 East Pennywood Avenue off Nassau Road. Responding fire department units were advised by Nassau County Fire Communications that multiple phone calls were being received reporting the fire and that Nassau County Police were on scene with a confirmed fire. Upon arrival firefighters were met with a small fire on the 3, 4 corner of a one and a half story private dwelling. Firefighters put one-line hand line into operation off Roosevelt Engine 732 and kept the fire from extending any further. No working fire was transmitted and all fire department units were under the command of Roosevelt Chief of Department Fennell [7300]. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
