Frederick Avenue [4-17-22]

The Roosevelt Fire Department operated on the scene of a Frederick Avenue house fire on the afternoon of Sunday, April 17th, 2022. Firefighters put one hand line into operation for a fire on the number one side of a two-story private dwelling. The main body of fire was quickly knocked down and there was no extension to the interior. One occupant was removed from the second floor of the residence and transported to an area hospital for smoke inhalation. Although, no working fire was officially transmitted a FAST from North Merrick along with an engine from Uniondale were requested to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
