Lincoln Avenue [9-30-15]
On the morning of Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 the Roosevelt Fire Department was dispatched to an unknown type fire at 106 Lincoln Avenue off of Park Avenue. Roosevelt Quint 734 was the first unit to arrive on scene and was met with smoke showing from a two story private dwelling. The officer in charge of Roosevelt Ladder 735 [the second unit to arrive on scene] transmitted the signal ten [working fire] upon arrival. North Merrick was notified for the FAST and was soon on scene with Ladder 673. Uniondale Engine 7522, Hempstead Truck One, and South Hempstead Ambulance 743A also responded to the scene. Units from Freeport, Merrick, and Uniondale stood by for Roosevelt during the operation. The fire was contained to a small area in the one, four corner of the basement and put out with one line.
