Jefferson Avenue [1-17-20]

On the evening of Friday, January 17th, 2020 firefighters operated on the scene of a working fire at a home on Jefferson Avenue off Willow Street in Roslyn Heights [Roslyn Fire Companies fire district]. Firefighters were originally dispatched to what was believed to be a basement fire; however, after investigating no fire was found in the basement. The main body of fire was in the walls of the first-floor kitchen and mud room. Despite balloon frame construction there was no extension to the second floor. Among the departments called for mutual aid were Albertson, Sea Cliff, Glenwood, and Manhasset Lakeville.
