Jerusalem Avenue [2-7-22]

On the night of Monday, February 7th, 2022, the Uniondale Fire Department was called to a building fire at Walmart on Jerusalem Avenue. Upon arriving on scene firefighters began to investigate and found fire in a rooftop HVAC unit. One hand line was stretched up the number four side of the building to the roof and put into operation. While companies were operating Uniondale Command requested mutual aid both to the scene and to standby including a FAST from North Bellmore. Firefighters had the main body of fire quickly knocked down and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Uniondale Chief of Department George Martinez [7500].
