Smith Street [10-4-20]

In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 4th, 2020 the Uniondale Fire Department and Nassau County Police ESU operated on the scene of a motor vehicle accident with overturn and entrapment. The accident was located on Smith Street between Summer and Winter Avenues. The Toyota sport utility vehicle involved appeared to have struck two, unoccupied parked cars before overturning. There were two occupants in the vehicle – one of whom was able to self-extricate. The second person in the auto required assistance in being removed. Both occupants were transported to an area hospital. All fire department units were under the command of Uniondale First Assistant Chief Martinez [7501].
