Jerusalem Avenue [10-18-16]

At approximately 05:25 hours on the morning of Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 the Uniondale Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with car fire in front of Walmart [1123 Jerusalem Avenue]. As fire department units were responding they were advised by Fire Com that Nassau County Police were on scene with a working car fire. Upon arrival firefighters were met with a three car accident with two of the vehicles engulfed in flames. Two hand lines were put into place off of Engine 7533 to contain the fire. After a few minutes firefighters had the main body of fire knocked down and began overhauling the vehicles. The two vehicles that caught fire were parked at the time of the incident and the driver of the third vehicle was the only aided. All fire department units were under the command of Uniondale First Assistant Chief Teddy Smith [7501].
