Stewart Avenue [6-17-16]

Late on the afternoon of Friday, June 17th, 2016 the Uniondale Fire Department was dispatched for a chief’s investigation for an alarm sounding at 900 Stewart Avenue. When the chiefs arrived on scene and began to investigate they found a smoke condition in the basement of multi floor office building. This discovery led to the call being upgraded to a general alarm followed by a signal ninety-eight [smoke showing]. With additional manpower arriving on scene firefighters began to further look into the cause of the smoke condition. After a few minutes firefighters believed the source to be a burnt motor with no fire condition. No longer after this finding units were released from the scene under the command of Uniondale Chief of Department Vaughn Tucker [7500].
