Uniondale Avenue [4-20-16]

Around 01:00 hours on the morning of Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 the Uniondale Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire at the intersection of Uniondale and Park Avenues. Nassau County Police were also notified and upon arriving on scene requested a forthwith response from the fire department. When fire department units arrived on scene they found 863 Uniondale Avenue fully involved leading to the immediate transmission of a signal ten [working fire]. The fire reached a second alarm equivalent with third alarm companies standing by for Uniondale during the operation. Within ninety minutes the scene was placed under control. The cause of the fire remained under investigation and no injuries were reported – including the occupants who were home at the time of the fire. All fire department units were under the command of Uniondale Chief of Department Vaughn Tucker [7500].
