Front Street [8-6-17]

Early on the afternoon of Sunday, August 6th, 2017 the Uniondale Fire Department was dispatched to a car versus building at the Uniondale Post Office [1000 Front Street off Newport Road]. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with a confirmed car into a building with two aided and no entrapment. The aided were packaged and transported to area hospitals. Firefighters secured the vehicle involved and checked the structural integrity of the building. The cause of the accident is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Uniondale Chief of Department Smith [7500].
