Adams Street [9-16-18]

On the night of Sunday, September 16th, 2018 the Uniondale Fire Department was dispatched to a car versus building with entrapment at 1008 Adams Street between Nassau Road and Hillside Court. When firefighters arrived on scene they were met a confirmed car into a house. There was no entrapment and the driver [who was the only person in the vehicle] was not seriously injured. National Grid was requested to the scene to secure the gas after it was discovered the gas service was compromised. The cause of the accident is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Uniondale Second Assistant Chief Ashley [7502].
