Fayette Street [9-22-19]

On the night of Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 the Uniondale Fire Department was called to a house fire on Fayette Street between Uniondale and Valcour Avenues. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a fire on the second floor of a two-story private dwelling. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid notified. North Bellmore was designated the FAST for the operation and responded to the scene with Ladder 657. Firefighters put one hand line into operation resulting in a quick knockdown of the fire. All occupants made it safely out of the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Uniondale First Assistant Chief Ashley [7501].
