Fenwood Drive [2-17-17]
On the night of Friday, February 17th, 2017 the Valley Stream Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire with the possibility of people trapped at 1204 Fenwood Drive off Lyon Street. As fire department units were on the way they were advised that a second call was received reporting the fire and that Nassau County Police were on scene reporting a working fire. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and Malverne was notified for the FAST. Valley Stream Engine 344 was the first engine company to arrive on scene and had at least two hand lines stretched and operating. Elmont Ladder 708 responded to the scene as an additional truck company. Hewlett and Lynbrook were among the departments standing by for Valley Stream during the operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire department units were under the command of Valley Stream First Assistant Chief Jason Croak [3401].
