Wilson Road [1-1-21]
In the early morning hours of Friday, January 1st, 2021 the Valley Stream Fire Department was called to an explosion in the house at a home on Wilson Road off Marlboro Road. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a confirmed explosion that had taken place inside of an unoccupied residence. Fortunately, there was no fire, and no one injured. Firefighters stretched one precautionary hand line off Valley Stream Engine 343. A boiler malfunction is believed to have been the reason for the explosion; however, the cause is under investigation. The occupants of the home were staying out of the area for the night. All fire department units were under the command of Valley Stream Chief of Department O’Brien [3400].
