Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway [6-19-22]

On the morning of Sunday, June 19th, 2022, the Wantagh Fire Department along with various resources from the Nassau County Police Department operated on the scene of a single vehicle accident with entrapment on the southbound Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway south of Merrick Road. The driver of the Mercedes Benz sedan [one of two occupants inside of the vehicle] was quickly removed from the auto and transported to an area hospital. Multiple tools were put into operation to extricate the front seat passenger who once removed was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. No update has been given on either occupant. The Seaford Fire Department was also on scene and assisted in the operation. An investigation is underway as to the cause of the accident. All fire department units were under the command of Wantagh Chief of Department Bloomfield [6900].
