Southern State Parkway [5-22-22]

In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 22nd, 2022, the Wantagh Fire Department along with various police department resources operated on the scene of a single vehicle accident involving a car versus tree with overturn. The incident was located on the eastbound side of Southern State Parkway just east of the Wantagh State Parkway. The driver of the vehicle, the only occupant inside, did not survive the accident. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
