On the afternoon of Sunday, May 14th, 2023, the Wantagh Fire Department operated on the scene of a single vehicle accident on the ramp where the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway and the Southern State Parkway meet. There were two occupants inside of the vehicle which overturned and rolled upright. The duo was quickly extricated and transported to area hospitals – at least one of them was seriously injured. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
