Wolkow Avenue [7-26-22]

The Wantagh Fire Department operated on the scene of a well involved house fire on Wolkow Avenue off Gold Street on the morning of Tuesday, July 26th, 2022. At least two hand lines were stretched and put into operation for fire on the one and two sides of a two-story private dwelling. Levittown and Bethpage were among the departments called for mutual aid. All occupants made it out of the residence; however, one civilian sustained burns and was transported to an area hospital. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Wantagh First Assistant Chief Mathewson [6901] had command of the incident.
