Adams Avenue [5-29-16]

On the afternoon of Sunday, May 29th, 2016 the West Hempstead Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire at 393 Adams Avenue off of Wilson Street. When units arrived on scene they found smoke showing from the rear of a two story private dwelling. Firefighters also found that the homeowner utilized a garden hose prior to their arrival to keep the fire in check. In doing so the fire did not extend into the home and only effected a small area on the number three side. West Hempstead Engine 763 operated one line to ensure the fire was knocked down. All fire department units were under the command of West Hempstead Chief of Department Pete Lilli [7600].
