West Hempstead 100th Anniversary Parade [9-21-19]

On the evening of Saturday, September 21st, 2019 the West Hempstead Fire Department hosted a parade honoring the department’s 100th anniversary. The parade began on Hempstead Avenue outside the public library, continued to Maplewood Street where it turned left, and ended at West Hempstead fire headquarters. Several neighboring fire departments marched in the parade including Lakeview, Franklin Square, Hempstead, Valley Stream, and South Hempstead. Prior to the start of the parade a department photo was taken in honor of the milestone.
