West Hempstead 9/11 Steel Arrival [3-28-12]

On March 28th, 2012 a steel beam from the 9/11 terrorist attacks arrived at the Chestnut Street School in West Hempstead. The school was a temporary location for the steel until a permanent memorial was completed at Halls Pond Park. Arch details were put into place for the escort to the school where several people spoke about the importance of the steel to the community.
