West Hempstead Installation [10-17-21]

The West Hempstead Fire Department held its annual inspection and installation dinner on the afternoon of Sunday, October 17th, 2021, at the Sand Castle. President John Doherty was the Master of Ceremonies for the event which began with the presentation of colors, the pledge of allegiance, and the National Anthem. The Chiefs and Department Officers were installed into office and speeches were made by both the outgoing and incoming Chiefs of the Department. Various awards were given out to the Department’s most active members and to those who achieved milestone years of service. Most notable was Louis Minutoli – recognized for a half century of service. Leading the West Hempstead Fire Department this year is Chief of Department Peter Lilli, First Assistant Chief Andrew Brohm, and Second Assistant Chief Boettcher.
